Responsibilities and Qualifications



Under the direct supervision on the production leads and/or pharmacist, this position will support the IVC (Intravenous Compounding Department) production and surrounding areas. This includes assisting in the maintenance and preparation of intravenous admixtures; inventory management, recording and maintain statistics and other data necessary for preparation of these compounds with the reports related to the IVC services; environmental maintenance, cleaning and control, and performing other duties as assigned related to IVC.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience with sterile compounding (USP 797) preferred
  • Prior experience working in a clean room setting preferred
  • Prior experience working in FDA registered 503B outsourcing facility preferred
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing (cGMP) preferred
  • Prior experience working in hospital pharmacy preferred
  • PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
  • Required to successfully qualify for aseptic gowning as outlined in SOP within 1 month of employment
  • Required to successfully qualify to perform compounding activities independently as outlined in SOP within 6 months of employment
  • 20/20 vision with or without correction with contacts or glasses
  • Good personal hygiene
  • Strong math or analytical skills
  • Strong comprehension skills of written material
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to stand up for up to 8 hours or more per day and life up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in teams
  • Must be flexible with work schedule
  • Understanding of medical terminology and calculations
  • Attention to detail
