Responsibilities and Qualifications

WHY JOIN MERCY'S EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT?

We are the only Level 1 Trauma Center in St. Louis County.  Our ED focuses on providing patient care through a team based approach. We care for all ages of patients between our adult and pediatric ED and have a separate group of nurses focused solely on each population.  We also have a strong group of nurses who provide care to both populations. Our nurses receive extensive training on all types of patients including Trauma, Stroke and STEMI. Nurses work closely with our ED physicians with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.

Currently we are hiring for night shifts, 7 pm - 7 am and possibly mid-shift  (11a or 3 pm start time).  This position is for our Adults Emergency Department.  If you have Peds/NICU/ED experience, please apply to req 2017-752802 for our Pediatric ED position.  We do not have any PRN openings at this time.

Position Qualifications:

  • We require a nursing degree from an accredited school.
  • You’ll also need a current RN license in our state.
  • Must have at least one year Emergency Department/Critical Care experience for this position; this is not a fellowship position.
  • CPR/BLS (through the American Heart Association) & ACLS required

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN strongly preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills preferred.

We’ll Support You at Work and Home

We offer day-one comprehensive health, vision and dental coverage, PTO, and employer-matched retirement funds, even to part-time employees. We’re proud to provide tuition reimbursement to help you grow and learn new skills.

What Makes a Good Match for Mercy
