Responsibilities and Qualifications

Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of an RN or LPN. Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides for personal care and comfort, performs emergency department specific skills, assists with procedures, and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for patients.




Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:



Education: • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Licensure: Current licensure in Arkansas or National Registry as an Emergency Medical Technician (OR) Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Technician. As of 08/01/2014, one year Nursing Aide experience or completion of an EMT or Paramedic course (must pass the exam for certification of EMT or Paramedic within 6 months of completing the course).
Experience: One year experience as CNA or Certified Medical Technician or Emergency Medical Technician or successful completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
Certifications: • Current Arkansas certification for certified nursing assistant, certified medical assistant or Emergency Medical Technician. • Current Basic Life Support Certification
