This position requires the ability to perform x-rays according to Doctor’s Orders. This person is responsible for completing the necessary x-rays requested by the physician. They are responsible for maintaining the films and fulfilling requests for copies per hospital medical release procedures. They are responsible for maintaining records on the patient’s and completing the necessary charge sheets. They are responsible ensuring a Radiologist reads the films and the reports are forwarded to the physician ordering the x-rays. Coordinates and schedules patient’s for outpatient procedures with in-house and external agencies. They are responsible for cleaning and some maintenance on the x-ray equipment. Reports to the Radiology Supervisor. This position will perform other duties as needed. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Education: Graduate from an accredited 2 year program and be board certified.
Licensure: Radiology Technologist
Certifications: Skills, knowledge and abilities: Requires the skill to work with pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients of all ages. The ability to read the physician’s orders and perform the appropriate x-ray(s) using the proper form and technique and develop the film. The knowledge and ability to clean and maintain the equipment. Must possess excellent communication skills and work well with others.
