Responsibilities and Qualifications

The purpose of this position is to manage and coordinate the following areas: Office functions for onsite occupational health services department including, coordinating staff to ensure optimum work efficiency, and continuous monitoring of all policies, procedures and budgets. Recruitment of nurses to provide services to our clients. Develop and implement wellness and health related services for Employer related services.

 

Staffing:
A. Selects and supervises staff, i.e., nurses, nurse assistants, and clerical employees.
B. Responsible for merit reviews.
C. Coordination of work schedules and vacation and holiday leave.
D. Investigates problems and complaints.
E. Counsels employees as needed.
F. Staff and oversee onsite jobs ensureing quality outcomes.


Reports and Budgets:
A. Manages departmental budgets.
B. Provides reports to management as requested.
C. Oversee office and medical supplies and equipment while ensuring optimal cost control.
D. Develops and implements office management systems for billing and accounts receivable.
E. Develops forms and implements office procedures to assure smooth workflow.
F. Trains employees on current and new policies and procedures.

 

Professional Growth:
A. Attends staff meetings.
B. Attends educational programs to maintain and enhance professional growth.
C. Is accountable for his/her own practice, and does not act beyond limitations.
D. Directly supervises all nursing and clerical staff on-site and provides guidance to the staff physicians on site.


Employer Services Coordination:
A. Coordinate and manage requests from client companies for services onsite.
B. Bill and assist with collections as needed.
C. Provide reports as requested.

 

Supervisors are fundamentally responsible for ensuring safety in their own departments:
a. Active member of workplace safety.
b. Assist in developing workplace safety procedures for their respective departments.
c. Enforce and promote workplace safety procedures in their departments.
d. Conduct investigations of any accidents/incidents occurring in their departments using standardized tool.
e. Immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents in their departments.
f. Participate in safety committee.
g. Identify and educate co-workers on safety needs.
h. Actively promotes safe infection control practices and maintains a safe environment to work.


Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Qualification 1: Requires at least two years college education. 
  • Qualification 2: Registered nurse with current licensure in Missouri OR equivalent experience in business administration, management or related field. 

Certifications: CPR
Other: Demonstrated leadership ability with strong communication skills and diplomacy.

Preferred Licensure: COHN Preferred, NIOSH Certified, Audio Certified, BAT Certified.
Preferred Experience: 5 years of previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Preferred Other: Ability to manage multiple client needs onsite at client companies.
