Responsibilities and Qualifications

 

Qualifications:

Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

 

Education: High School Graduate or GED

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified Coder certification required through AHIMA or AAPC OR AHIMA and AAPC-A eligible with at least 6 months coding experience. AAPC eligible when apprentice status removed.

Experience: Previous coding experience

Other skills & knowledge:

-Excellent oral and written communication skills

-Proficiency in utilizing MS Word, Excel and Outlook

-Skill in identifying and resolving problems

-Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines
