Responsibilities and Qualifications

Follows established cleaning and operating procedures.

Completes duties within established time allotments.

Wears clothing and Health System badge consistent with dress code, and attends to personal hygiene to maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance.

Performs additional duties as directed

Monitors performance to assure that work is being performed according to policies and procedures. Documents incidents and actions taken.

Monitors equipment and supplies to assure that they are maintained and utilized according to procedure.

Ensures that assigned coworkers utilize time efficiently to complete duties according to established schedule

Inspects work of assigned coworkers to ensure that quality standards are met.

Observes Patients,Visitors & Co-workers, is alert to their needs and assists them when possible.

Accepts feedback from supervisor. Asks for clarification when needed so the message is understood.

Informs supervisor of work related problems requiring supervisory action when they occur.

Mixes and uses all chemicals according to procedure.

Performs duties in a manner that prevents hazards and reports hazardous conditions to supervisor immediately.

Keeps supply cart, janitor closet, and housekeeping keys secured at all times.

Observes universal precautions consistently and wears personal protective equipment when appropriate

Knows and carries out assigned duties in the event of fire, disaster or other emergency.

Keeps equipment clean and functional according to procedure and reports defects to supervisor.

Uses appropriate equipment for each operation according to procedure.
