Responsibilities and Qualifications

Perform annual Medicare examinations in a clinic setting. Could rotate among several clinics performing these exams. Must be flexible and be willing to help in other areas of the clinic if the need arises.

  • Accurate entry into Epic of pertinent medical data using sound nursing judgement and assessment.
  • Accurate entry into Epic of current patient status (mental evaluation, functional ability etc).
  • Provides all required preventable services (initial preventable exam, bone mass measurement etc).
  • Exhibits excellent customer service skills in all interactions with both patients and coworkers.
  • Arranges for the examination with the provider or lab as appropriate.
  • Educates patients in a way that is understood by the adult learner.



Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:


  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • RN license
  • Minimum 5 year experience required. Understanding of basic coding preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid preferred
  • Previous experience in educating patients or others highly preferred.
