The project manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the project(s), including completing on time and on budget in a professional manner. The Project Manager has responsibility to accurately and fully inform management of the projects overall status, particularly with regard to schedule, quality, costs and safety. The project manager would generally have no direct reports but will manage the design and construction teams. Capable of managing up to twenty projects at one time.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Oversee the coordination of resources by use of enterprise resource pool tools outlining resource use and availability (capacity / demand).

Produce resource updates and reports for use by Executive Leadership, Project Sponsors, Sr. Project Managers, and Resource Managers.

Provides project views and snapshots of activities for project manager/team members to assist in achieving project goals (as required).

Coordinates custom project views and reports as requested.

Build relationships and interact effectively with co-workers and leadership supporting the assigned project(s).

Responsible for providing project management tools as assigned.

Direct the activities of vendors / consultants as required for implementations.

Utilize expertise to provide backup support and facilitate the development and growth of project staff as they expand their roles and responsibilities and strengthen their skills. Provides project management consultation services to project team members.

Applies diversified knowledge of principles, practices and standards to assignments. Educates and promotes the development and use of fundamental project management processes and methodologies

Takes a leadership role in promotion of project management initiatives.

Assists in the formulation, administration and coordination of project management best practices and policies.

Produces policies, procedures, and tips for more efficient use of the project office tools.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, engineering, architecture OR 5 yrs industry specific experience.
  • Experience: 1. Three years health care experience with Project Management or related function (planning, scheduling, project coordination, earned value analysis). 2. Experience With Owner FFE Scopes and Management 3. Experience With Owner IS/IT Scopes and Management
  • Other: 1. Effective leadership skills and strong customer service orientation. 2. Advanced analytical skills to resolve simple to complex technical and procedural problems. 3. Superior organizational and people management skills. 4. Presentation and facilitation skills (to large groups). 5. Strong communication skills, especially in making technical subjects understandable to non-technical people. 6. Ability to articulate both high level and detailed aspects of a situation or project. 7. Ability to travel 10-30% of the time. 8. Experience With Owner FFE Scopes and Management 9. Experience With Owner IS/IT Scopes and Management
  • Preferred Education: Degree in a Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering discipline is preferred.
  • Preferred Experience: 1. Program Management Experience 2. Health Care Experience
  • Preferred Certifications: 1. ASHE Certifications 2. USGBC Accreditations
  • Preferred Other: 1. ASHE Certifications 2. USGBC Accreditations
