Manages critical data and information.
Establishes and promotes prevention and control measures to reduce transmission of infectious agents.
Advises Occupational Health in matters related to the development and application of infection control and prevention strategies to reduce the risk of infection transmission between or among patients, the public and healthcare providers.
Manages education programs on Infection Control and Prevention and related subjects.
Complies with regulatory standards for accreditation and licensure.
Supervises the investigation and control of outbreaks.
Collaborates with Quality Management and Risk Management to evaluate and improve services for optimal patient outcomes.
Seeks opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Provides financial data to evaluate and improve services.

Education: Bachelors degree in nursing or related field, or achievement of Bachelors degree within two years of employment,
Licensure: Registered Nurse or other clinical discipline with current
Oklahoma licensure in good standing, if licensed.
Experience: Four years experience in an acute hospital or public health
Other skills & knowledge: Proficient with multiple software programs. Excellent writing and speaking skills. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of authority as well as healthcare workers, patients and families.
Education: Masters degree in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology or other related field, or achievement of Masters degree within two years
of employment. Satisfactory completion of APIC Advanced
Experience: Management experience.
Certification/Registration: Certification in Infection Control.
