Responsibilities and Qualifications

Overview


Working in coordination with Local, Regional and Executive Quality & Safety Leadership, the position will lead the delivery of business and technical reporting solutions to meet the needs of the Clinical Quality & Safety (federal, state, accrediting and governing boards) metrics environment. The position has strong clinical knowledge and is familiar with regulatory Quality & Safety programs as defined by DHHS, CMS and other accrediting agencies, and as such, drives a structured approach to enterprise reporting solutions as relevant to regulatory requirements. The role makes use of critical and logical analytical thinking skills in the design and development of innovative solutions related to quality metrics, outcome modeling, case mix acuity, process of care and performance data analysis. This role requires successful management of databases, datasets, interfaces, reporting processes, and ancillary SQL, coding and software to ensure data integrity, data validity, security, efficiency, and accessibility of the reporting system solutions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: BA/BS in relevant field.
  • Experience: Report Writing experience with at least one Epic Clarity data module. Minimum 2 years experience in developing complex SQL. Familiarity/Adaptability with database query tools (e.g., TOAD, SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, etc). Microsoft tools-Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
  • Certifications: At least one Certification in Epic Clarity data model
  • Other: Good analytical, conceptual and root cause analysis skills. Outstanding communication skills with all levels of management and company personnel (oral, written and presentation). Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups. Ability to travel Flexible work hours outside of an 8-hour daytime position.
  • Preferred Education: Masters preferred
  • Preferred Experience: Strong appreciation and desire to work in healthcare and with direct patient caregivers.
  • Preferred Other: Data Modeling and Data Visualization experience. Experience in SQL programming, Oracle and Business Objects / SAP Analytics Suite desired. Successful Project Management skills and the ability to lead multi-departmental teams. Excellent Oracle database skills and advanced SQL programming knowledge.
