    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Responsible to perform procedures and patient care under the supervision of a Registered

    Nurse; provides support services for the Emergency Department (cleaning, stocking,  ordering); provides patient transport; performs phlebotomy and EKG's: Perorms multi-skilled patient care actions and services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. May implement BLS. Follows the Medical Centers pain policies and the Patient Safety/Risk Management program. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.     Qualifications:

    Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

     

    Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of approved

    Basic/ EMT course, Graduate of CNA course, Certified

    Phlebotomist, or Medical Assistant; Successful completion of

    one semester of Registered Nursing School.

    Certification/Registration: CNA, EMT Basic, Certified Phlebotomist, or Medical Assistant.

    BLS is required.
