Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Educator assumes responsibility for all activities related to assessment, coordination, planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs to flight crew members on department(s)/unit(s) of responsibility and collaborates with base specific educators to provide facility-wide programs and unit specific programs. The Educator supports the development of the flight crew members and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and service standards of Mercy Health and Mercy Life Line. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.



Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or actively enrolled in an accredited program.
  • Certifications: ACLS, PALS, NRP (would prefer instructor status) TNCC, TNATC, ITLS, ATLS or LLTC RN CEN, CCRN, CFRN
  • Experience: Must have three years of critical care experience and/or no less than three year's of flight experience with a CAMTS accredited program and meet all Mercy Life Line Flight Nurse criteria.
