Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Instrument Technician l requires basic skills to achieve accurate stocking, assembly, delivery, cleaning and customer interaction. Role requires responsible individuals who demonstrate and reflect Mercy Signature Service, Values, and Accounting of Stewardship. Position is entry level and preparatory for Technician II. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

MINIMUM REQUIRED

  • Education: High School degree or GED equivalent required
  • Other skills & knowledge: Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Must interact with staff and co-workers across a diverse range of disciplines. Must be able to follow directions. Must be able to operate equipment.
    • Computer skills as described in Job Responsibilities.
    • The physical demands described here are the representative of the minimums that must be met by an employee to perform all essential functions of the job. Most physical demands are below, plus: Minimal: high/mid/low level lift of <29lbs, carrying <10 lbs (1 hand) and<29lbs (2 hands), push <22# force, pull <13# force , balance, grip, pinch, data entry. Frequent: hand coordination

PREFERRED

  • Education: further education/work history preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of supply chain experience preferred.
