Perform, evaluate and coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic clinical procedures as defined in the Cardiopulmonary Services scope of clinical practice. Work performed in accordance with physician orders. Defined duties are performed in neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations in intermediate, intensive, and emergency care areas. Therapists will work in accord to the mission, vision, and values of Mercy Hospital ministry.

Education: Graduate of CoARC/AARC/NBRC approved Respiratory Care program.
Licensure: Current Respiratory Care Practioner license from the State of Oklahoma.
Experience: Two years experience in an acute care setting, including one year experience in intensive care unit.
Certifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) at all times Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or Certified Respirtatory Therapist (CRT) if RRT is obtained withing six months of hire. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Other: Knowledge to provide the appropriate care to all age groups of patients. Must be able to work within a team enviornment and serve as a resource when needed. Must be able to communicate effectively with the patients, families, visitors and co-workers in a caring, friendly, personal and professional manner.
Preferred Education: Bachelors degree.
Preferred Licensure: Maintain current RCP license from the State of Oklahoma.
Preferred Experience: Advanced critical care skills for emergency department and intensive care areas.
Preferred Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and serve as an instructor. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
Preferred Other: Advanced skills in ventilator management, brochoscopies, hemodynamic monitoring and end-tidal CO2.
