Responsibilities and Qualifications

Overview
The nursing logistics specialist is responsible for deployment of nursing staffing resources in a cost effective manner to meet the patient care needs of multiple patient care areas. The specialist places patients in appropriate bed assignments based on identified criteria under the direction of manager - nursing services. Additionally, the specialist participates in proactive identifying staffing issues and works to identify a resolution, participates in data collection as directed. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

 

Qualifications:

 

Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Excellent attendance record. Excellent customer service skills, data entry/computer skills.
  • Preferred Experience: Hospital environment exposure. Staffing and scheduling across multiple shifts. Patient placement within a complex health care setting.
  • Preferred Other: Electronic Health Record Experience.
