Responsibilities and Qualifications

A RN - ER Department performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patients care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy~Lebanon, the philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics and the Employee code of conduct. Learns how to use the UHF/VHF radio with EMS communication. Job duties if assigned as charge nurse include but not limited to making appropriate staffing assignments each shift, assist with patient assignment and flow, check crash carts and assist with PI data and collection. Manage staffing ratios to stay within productivity standards. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, guiding principles and mercy service standards.

Position Qualifications:

  • We require a nursing degree from an accredited school.
  • Current State of Missouri RN license or temporary work permit.
  • Current BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire. Current ACLS, TNCC and  ENPC or obtain within 12 months of hire.
