Responsibilities and Qualifications

Provides patient care by organizing and conducting medically prescribed programs in order to achieve maximum potential. Displays advanced treatment skills and assists Team Leader. Promotes growth and development of department by assisting in special projects and/or coordinating activities in patient care programs.


Works with children ages 12-60 months with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The SLP therapist must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a part of a multidisciplinary team. Services are provided individually or in small groups. Upon completion of training, must maintain fidelity in treatment intervention using the ESDM as documented by fellow certified therapists. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.



Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:


  • Qualification 1: Master’s degree in Communication Disorders
  • Qualification 2: Certifications: Certificate of Clinical Competency (American Speech and Hearing Association) and Missouri State Board of Healing Arts license required, or eligibility for same.

Experience: One to 2 years

CPR thru the American Heart Association
