Responsibilities and Qualifications

Reports to Patient Access Manager. Performs registration/admitting duties for all in-patient, out-patient, and non-patient lab services that come through the emergency department. Greet, assist and direct visitors, patients and personnel, answer direct telephone calls. Ensure patients and families are assisted in a timely, caring, professional manner and all the while maintain a positive, pleasant atmosphere for all guests. Exhibit professionalism according to department and hospital policies and procedures. 



Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

  • Qualification 1
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
    Other: Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills, accurate and efficient keyboarding, basic computer skills, medical terminology.
    Preferred Experience: Experience in admitting procedures within a hospital setting or physician's office.
