    • Shift Differential Incentive Pay.
    • BSN Differential Pay for those applicants who have completed a BSN program.
    • RN to BSN Bridging Program to assist in the pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree.
    • Up to $2,000 annually for Tuition Reimbursement.
    • RN Loan Forgiveness Program to aide in paying off your student loan debt.
      • Up to $5,000 per year over a period of 4 ½ years ($20,000 cap).

    • Career Ladder Program – Eligible after one year of service, RNs can opt into the Career Ladder Program.  The Career Ladder for Professional Mercy Nurses is a program developed for RNs to be recognized for their role in providing clinical excellence, dedication to patient/family/co-worker satisfaction and recognizing their commitment to the profession of nursing at Mercy and the surrounding community.  You can receive up to $5000 for this recognition.

    What is our Fellowship Program?


    • Mercy’s Fellowship Programs are a combination of classroom training and clinical training.
    • The Fellowship Program has a 2-year commitment after the program has been completed. You will be compensated while completing this program.


    The fellowship experience includes:

    The Critical Care Fellowship is an twelve- to fifteen-week orientation and training experience. During this time, you will progress from a novice to a fully-trained nurse under the direct supervision of an experienced practitioner. Launching your nursing career is exciting and Mercy Critical Care fellowship is strongly committed to helping you every step of the way.

    When your fellowship has been completed, you will be comfortable caring for patients in either the Critical Care and/or Heart Hospital areas.

    This Position Offers:

    • Providing direct care to patients while under the guidance of a preceptor. Our trained preceptors are Critical Care nursing experts. We believe hands-on learning experiences are the most beneficial for our new nurses.
    • Clinical competency monitored through weekly visits and meetings with leadership.
    • Blended learning with unit specific education.
    • Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) 3.0 is a critical care course created, tested, validated and regularly updated by content experts to reflect current nursing knowledge and practice. This course is useful to any staff or bedside nurse working with acute or critically ill patients.  
    • Two day basic EKG classes totaling 16 hours with a test following the class.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support- Two day class given as part of your training.


    New Graduates: You must graduate with your nursing degree prior to the Fellowship/Residency Program start date in order to be considered for this opportunity.

    Position Qualifications:

    • We require a nursing degree from an accredited school.
    • RN License in the State of Missouri or must obtain within 90 days of your graduation date.
    • Must have a current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association.

    You will be required to complete an Online Assessment which consists of 100 questions. You are only able to take the online assessment once so please give yourself plenty of time. The application process can take up to 1-hour from start to finish. Once you have completed the initial application process applying for positions in the future will only require submission to each additional position.
