Responsibilities and Qualifications

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling activities of the Sterile Processing Department. The supervisor will maintain open communication with the charge nurse or manager to make sure sterile instruments are ready for the day's surgical cases. The supervisor will approve all time off requests, make Kronos edits, and staff accordingly. The Supervisor will perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standads.


Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

Education; High School Degree Required.

Experience:  At least 3 years of progressive management experience in Sterile Processing Required.

Certification/Registration: CRCST or CSPDT Certification required.

Other skills & knowledge:  Basic knowledge of the Sterile Processing environment
