    Why Join Mercy’s EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT? 

    • We are the only Level 1 Trauma Center in St. Louis County.  Our ED focuses on providing patient care through a team based approach. We care for all ages of patients between our adult and pediatric ED and have a separate group of nurses focused solely on each population.  We also have a strong group of nurses who provide care to both populations. Our nurses receive extensive training on all types of patients including Trauma, Stroke and STEMI. Nurses work closely with our ED physicians with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.

     

    What is our Fellowship Program? (this will be generic for the dummy req, but for each department’s req we will tailor it with details specific to that fellowship)

     

    As a fellowship nurse you will go through a 16 week educational program focused both on didactical and clinical experiences throughout this time. This fellowship is focused on our adult patients and includes education around emergency medicine to prepare you to care for any adult patient seeking care. 

     

    New Graduates: You must graduate with your nursing degree prior to the Fellowship/Residency Program start date in order to be considered for this opportunity.

    Position Qualifications:

    • We require a nursing degree from an accredited school.
    • RN License in the State of Missouri or must obtain within 90 days of your graduation date.
    • Must have a current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association.

     

    When applying please keep in mind…

     

    You will be required to complete an Online Assessment which consists of 100 questions. You are only able to take the online assessment once so please give yourself plenty of time. The application process can take up to 1-hour from start to finish. Once you have completed the initial application process applying for positions in the future will only require submission to each additional position.
