Responsible for producing high quality special and routine radiographs; selecting proper technical factors based upon individual patient variations; preparation of all equipment/supplies needed for angiographic procedures; ordering supplies and materials as needed; assisting physicians in administering contrast media. Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in QRM activities.
Education: Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained.
Licensure: ARRT; along with a Arkansas License
Preferred Licensure: RCIS preferred
Preferred Experience: 3 years experience in electrophysiology and 3 years experience in cardiac and special procedures. Also, able to assist physician with interventions.

Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.
Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic and/or fluoroscopic examinations.
Assesses patients understanding of proces and informed consent of invasive procedures.
Demonstrates the ability to assess cardiorespiratory systems for changes in pediatric to geriatric patients and is able to treat appropriately.
Directs and assists in maintenance and handling of special equipment, monitors and instruments.
Assists in maintaining basic records and reports.
Has knowledge of hospital policies and the functions of other departments.
Maintains sterile technique when appropriate.
Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures.
