    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Act as a liaison between co-workers, patients and visitors and provide assistance and support for all who enter into Mercy. Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

    • Greet patients, family members, physicians, nurses, and the public in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner.
    • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Comply with departmental policies and procedures
    • Maintenance of environment to ensure safety and comfort of patients and visitors.
    • When needed, provide clerical support to nursing and/or registration staff.
    • Provides daily pick-ups and deliveries of Mercy patients, visitors, and staff at designated locations within the health center complex.
    • Maintains radio communication with pick-up sites at all times.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Mercy Market Store duties as assigned

    Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.
    Licensure: Valid Drivers License
    Experience: Previous customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
    Other: Good communication skills, good computer skills. Knowledge of basic medical technology. Able to multi-task. Must show initiative, take ownership and be able to resolve issues. Must be proactive, team oriented, empathetic, and patient. Must be able to remain positive under stress. Must be able to evaluate and interpret appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirement relative to specific need.
    Preferred Education: Some college preferred.
    Preferred Experience: Previous hospital experience.
    Preferred Other: Computer skills & medical terminology
