    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Assists with all aspects of patient care as directed by physicians, clinical staff and/or practice manager. Maintains examination rooms, record patient health information, clean instruments, maintain supply inventory including vaccines. Return calls to patients relative to patient care issues pertaining to refill requests, referrals, test results, etc. Communicates accordingly as to any patient care issues requiring the attention of the provider.



    Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

    • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program; 
    • Licensure: Licensed if required through the State of Missouri
    • Experience: AND two years experience or 4 years comparable experience as a medical assistant. Up to two years specific specialty experience may be required.
    • Other: Customer Service skills good computer skills (patient data base system) communication - multiline phone system accurately take and document patient vital signs phlebotomy skills Injections performs minor diagnostic CLIA-approved testing for office
