    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Assist in providing a reasonably safe and secure environment for the patients, visitors, and staff on the Maternal Child (5th) floor and the individual locked down units within which include Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (5-F NICU), Labor and Deliver (5-G L&D), Post Partum (5-A), and Newborn Nursery (5-J NBN), and Womens Surgery (5-B) when needed. Assistants work 8 1/2 hour shifts that are placed on a variable schedule. Shift duties include, but are not limited to: Manage access to the Maternal Child floor and the locked down units within by utilizing the Easy Lobby visitor management system; Writing detailed reports on significant events; Maintaining a high level of training; Have working knowledge and understanding of the operation of Easy Lobby visitor management system; multi line phone system; infant protection system (HUGs), video public safety system, door access system, and fire alarm protection system and how it functions;  Assist Department of Family Services with child custody issues; Have a detailed understanding of Report Exec Reporting system.

    • High School Graduate or equivalent.
    • Prior customer service experience.
    • Required training includes but is not limited to: CPR, AED, and Tactical Communications. Technical training includes end user training on basic computer, video management system, door access system, infant and child protection system, report-dispatch system, and visitor management system.
