The Registered nurse is responsible for using the nursing process to meet the needs of patients according to the patients according to the professional standards of nursing care the RN assures the philosophy ,mission goals, objectives,policies and proceduresof the nursing department and Mercy Medical center are followed. The RN is responsible for the quality of care of a caseload of patients : collaberates with the medical staff and others in the provision of care , demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with others in communication and problem resolation ; is sensetive to the needs of patients, families , and co-workers ; plans and providies professional nursing care for patients in accordance with age specific needs, any identified cultural diversity needs and pain management . Asseses the reports and assist any patients that present with evidence of abuse and or neglect. Supports the mission of SEMMC . Co - worker are expected to abide by the Mercy Medical Center safety and infection control policies to maintain a safe enviroment for patients and co-workers . Supervises : LPN's CNA's orderlies NOTE: Orientation and training is experience specific. Competent to provide nursing services to the age of the specific population of assigned areas. See Age Appropriate Care for Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric Patients policy. Current CPR Certification is a required element to maintain the job position. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Education: Graduation of an approved school of nursing
Licensure: Current Registered nurse licensure by the Arkansas State Board of nursing
Experience: one (1) years acute care nursing experience
Certifications: CPR perferr ACLS
Other: Basic computer skills required To ensure patient safety,it is mandatory that all licensed coworkers who providedirect patient care pass amedication and math copetencytest before assuming medicationadministration responsiibilities. This exam will cover knowledge of the actions and su=ide effects of commonly used drugs along with math regarding correct dosages and IV problems
Preferred Experience: one ( 1) year acute care nursing required
