    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Provides direction and management of activities associated with Joint Commission (TJC)  compliance and accreditation as well as State, CMS and other regulatory surveys for Mercy Hospital Washington (MHW) . Assists Quality Director  with  accreditation and regulatory corrective action plans for MHW. Assists with  communication with TJC and other regulatory agencies. Develops, coordinates and manages a facility wide approach to continuous survey readiness for all accrediting and regulatory surveys.  Coordinates  the facility’s  Continuous Survey Readiness and Random Unannounced Survey Plans. Coordinates the Intracycle monitoring process for TJC  Works within quality management and through peer-group to promote coordinated improvements related to continuous compliance, quality and safety. Promotes cooperation and sharing between quality departments across MHW.   Ensures that Mercy values are reflected in all activities.


    Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

    • A Master’s degree in health administration, hospital administration or a related field and two years of experience in patient care management in an acute care facility or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Clinical degree or similar clinical background preferred.  
    • Education: AA degree in business or health related field. Bachelors preferred. 
    • Computer skills:  proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
    • Experience: 3-5 years experience in healthcare in an acute care setting. 
    • Preferred:  Experience with accreditation and regulatory compliance. Experience in the TJC accreditation process, team facilitation, outcomes and performance management required.  Experience with CMS and Medicare/Medicaid regulations and survey processes.
