Will deliver and manage excellent services and systems of care for persons with serious mental illness. The Social Worker provides general casework services to assigned patients and their families for Mercy Hospital and Mercy Home Health when needed.
Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:
Education: A Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school of Social Work.
Licensure: A license in the State of practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), LPC or LMFT.
Other: Necessary skills include the ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, a thorough understanding of client rights, an understanding of the commitment process and knowledge of basic medical and psychiatric terminology.
Preferred Experience: One (1) year of direct service experience with mentally ill individuals in an inpatient or outpatient setting is preferred.
