Under the supervision of the Nutrition Services Manager, the Patient Room Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising the Patient Room-Service Line, Call Center/Diet Technician Staff, Dish-room personnel and services all related activities.
Supervises and assists the operation of the patient Room Service-line and Call Center.
Supervises the set up of the patient room-service-line to assure that all stations are ready in a timely and consistent manner.
Supervises the delivery of patient meals to assure that each meal is delivered according to proper procedure in a timely manner.
Supervises continuously, assembly of trays to assure that all trays are accurate, food is of acceptable quality and appearance is attractive.
Supervises clean up of Room service -line and dish room after each meal to assure that all foods are dated and stored properly and area is cleaned up within 30 minutes of busy meal completion.
Supervises daily documentation of food temperatures and tray servicng to assure that it is completed and accurate and any necessary corrective action taken.

Directly supervises the Dietetic Technicians, Food Service Tech II, and the Dish-room technicians.

Education: High school diploma.
Experience: Three to five years food services experience.
Preferred Education: Completion of Certified Dietary Manager Classes preferred.
Preferred Certifications: Certified Dietary Manager preferred.
Preferred Other: Additional training in supervisory skills preferred.
