    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Under direct supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Care Manager, and Sleep Lab Lead Tech/or Coordinator performs a wide variety of neurodiagnostic studies to include MSLT's, Sleep Studies, etc. at the bedside of critically ill patients and routine outpatients. Respiratory Care and EEG/EMG procedures are included in conjunction, as applicable. These modalities will be performed for neonates through geriatrics. Technician will perform allwork with accord to the mission, vision, and values of Mercy Memorial Health Center. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

     

    Qualifications:

     

    Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

     

    Education: High School Diploma or GED.
    Licensure: None applicable upon hiring - direction would be to become fully credentialed in sleep medicine RPSGT.
    Experience: Minimum of one years experience in sleep lab with scoring ability.
    Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support.
    Preferred Licensure: Experience in sleep medicine preferred, but not required. Initial training is done at hospital level, further education for credentials will have to be through an accredited program.
