    The Senior Software Engineer at Mercy Virtual champion the culture of Agile and DevOps. We operate across a wide gamut of disciplines including websites, mobile applications, cloud infrastructure, security, automation, identity management, developer productivity, analytics, and more.     • Interact directly with clinical providers and patients to create critical life improving solutions. Be responsible for architecting, implementing, testing, deploying, and supporting the software that drives Mercy Virtual.

    Work with your team and product owner to manage priorities, and deliverables. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.


    General Responsibilities

    • Serve as the Software Engineer as outlined by Agile and DevOps development.
    • Responsible for ensuring the Solution being developed has the highest alignment possible with the MV strategy.
    • Spends time with the clinical operations team and partners to ensure a full understanding of gaps in care or workflow and needs translating those in the form of code development for the products.
    • Participates in Agile activities through clarifying of story workflow scenarios and needs.
    • Delivers continuous working software leveraging DevOps practices
    • Partner with clinicians, operations, finance, administrative and technical teams when appropriate as outlined by the Agile methodology
    • Work with Product Managers on cross-functional projects.
    • Support the development of product ancillary and support materials to include clinical, implementation, marketing, education, and technical documentation.
    • Manages the technical deliverables of the project
    • Strong customer relationship skills


    • Demonstrates the following characteristics: Clinical based entrepreneurial drive, DevOps continuous delivery, agile, collaborative, and growth mindset, detail-oriented, articulate, good analytical skills, and ability to relate and communicate well with clinicians, operations, finance, administrative and technical teams

    • Education: Bachelor’s equivalent in related field.


      Experience:Five (5) years of experience in clinical care delivery (hospital or ambulatory based) or complex technology enabled solutions development or a combination of field and development experience.

    • Other Skills and Knowledge:

      Experience with Agile methodology, DevOps practices, and delivering prioritized work items and agendas
