    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    This position is to assist the Clinical Pharmacist in performing functions as prescribed by law & regulation for Oklahoma (for Pharm Techs) and in accordance with the objectives, planning, and directives assigned to the areas of responsibility assigned by the Director.

    Education: May as the direction of the Director complete the Mercy Pharmacy Technician course within 9 weeks to gain certification.
    Certifications: Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician in Oklahoma.
    Other: Pharmacy Technician will have the following skills: 1) Good communication and interpersonal skills; 2) Good writing skills sufficient to communicate and create reports and proposals; 3) General knowledge of data processing operations sufficient to ensure the development of program specifications for data input, data retrieval, and report preparation; and 4) Skill in identifying and recommending training needs of staff. Limited Knowledge: To direct all activities of assigned responsibilities to include: a) the development and implementation of quality control procedures as directed; b) the participation on a multi-disciplinary team as directed; and c) the development, implementation, and promotion of new programs as directed.
