    Responsibilities and Qualifications


    Under general supervision, provide primary supervision to Surgical Procedural Assistants engaged in a variety of patient flow activities and provide assistance to them as needed or directed. Performs related duties as assigned.



    Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:


    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Experience: Supervision of work groups of 10-30 people in an unskilled labor environment.
    • Other: Accountable and perform independently. Ability to perform all Surgical Procedure Assistant duties and projects. Keep records and documentation, explain attendance, conserve resources, monitor and supervise a work team, schedule staff, and gain new skills. Communicates orally and in writing in effective, appropriate manner. Annual Rapid Regulatory Compliance. Must be able to move around the facility for extended periods of time. Able to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time. Equipment Used: Qualified to operate patient transport beds, surgical equipment and computer.
    • Preferred Education: Some college credit preferred.
