    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    As auxiliary member of the Mercy Hospice interdisciplinary team, works under the general direction of the Patient Care Coordinator in the provision of instruction the hospice patient in the use of therapeutic, creative and self care activities toward the goal of coping with disability and improving functioning in the activities of daily living uses knowledge and skills of occupational therapy to evaluate, establish and implement individual programs of care which promote functional ability toward increased independence in patient's home environment. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

    Education: Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
    Certifications: Registered by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Quality Assurance.
    Other: Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, concepts and methodology required of an occupational therapist and the practical application of this knowledge in the treatment of hospice patients at home. Oklahoma driver's license and availability of car. Communication and documentation skills. Demonstrated ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
