    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Overview

    Responsible for supervising technicians in the Pharmacy area and serving as a specialist in specific area of drug delivery systems. Responsible for identifying potential and existing drug related problems and taking appropriate actions to prevent or resolve them. Contributes to the planning and organization of the Pharmacy. This is a supervisor position carrying both management and production responsibilities. Directs distributional services during assigned shifts, manages and leads personnel and assigns projects. Produces computer reports and files as assigned. Assists with training of staff. Coordinates communications between hospital, Information Systems, and software vendor with direction from pharmacy management and supervisors. Maintains and troubleshoots automated dispensing machines. Responsible for the technician schedule and evaluations. Performs related duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications:

    • High school graduation or equivalent
    • Missouri Pharmacy Technician License
    • National Pharmacy Technician Certification or eligible and certified within 9 months of hire or transfer into the position
    • Previous hospital pharmacy work history is strongly preferred
