This is an all-female OB/GYN clinic and previous experience working in OB/GYN or Women's Health is preferred.
To provide direct patient nursing care via the telephone. The licensed professional nurse utilizes the nursing process composed of the following elements: Assessment, Analysis, Plan, Implementation, and Evaluation to provide this delivery of care through telephone triage/communication. The position incorporates health advice, health care coordination, health promotion and patient care follow-up as outlined by our physicians. Interacts with patients providing counseling & routine follow up, triage nurse also performs support functions that are related to patient care, ie, prescription refills, prescription medication insurance authorizations, ordering required lab work, booking same day appointments within our office, coordinating needed follow up appointments for patients, including but not limited to: mammograms, CT-MRI, bone density, colonoscopy.

Licensure/Certification Requirements: Licensed as a professional registered nurse in the State of Missouri.
Education Requirements: Missouri State Board of Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner ANCC Commission on Certification. Minimum of three years experience as an RN, preferably in a physician practice. Experience using an electronic medical record is preferred.
Environmental Conditions: Employee may be exposed to: fumes, radiation, electrical hazards, blood borne pathogens, and computer work.
Physical Demands: Employee is required to stand and walk frequently and to sit occasionally. Employee mush lift/carry light loads (20 pound maximum) occasionally. Employee is required to bend, squat, walk, and lift floor-to-waist occasionally; reach forward and overhead frequently. For repetitive action, employee is required to use one hand for simple grasping, pushing/pulling, and both hands for fine manipulation.
Scheduling Expectations: Normal hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Employee may be required to work as needed to meet the demands of the practice or be released early due to low census.
Preferred: Experience working in OB/GYN or Women's Health
