    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Greets and appropriately directs patients via phone calls or direct contact. Maintains waiting room. Performs front office duties as needed. Assists with all aspects of patient care as directed by nurses and physicians. Maintains examination rooms. Calls pharmacy with prescriptions, and patients with test results. Be flexible in working beyond normal working hours as needed during peak illness seasons.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Provides patient care as directed by nurses and physicians. Ensures that all exam rooms are properly stocked daily. Organizes formula and medicine cabinets to remove all expired samples. All exam rooms should be opened and Epic screens secured.
    • Performs rapid streps, ua's, flu swaps, and administer vaccines and other office procedures as required.
    • Escorts patient to examination room and takes vital signs and enters in Epic. Reviews M-Chat screening, and ages and stages also to be entered in Epic. Offer MyChart to patient's legal guardian if presenting patient.
    • Answers and screens telephone calls, verifying and setting appointments, routing calls and/ or taking messages appropriately.
    • Greets patients, takes or updates patient demographic information and reviews and collects any past due balances. E-verifies insurance prior to patient arriving for appointment.
    • Calls in prescriptions, calls patients with lab, test results. All triage notes should be completed before leaving each day.
    • Provides patient instruction and offers to schedule next appointment if needed.
    • Maintains waiting room appropriately.

     

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program OR atleast one year of applicable patient care experience
