    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Directs and supervises all areas in Nutrition & Culinary Services. Supervisor is responsible for the accurate and safe production and delivery of meals that meet the requirements of regular and therapeutic diet guidelines for patients, visitors, coworkers, including satellite facilities, cafeteria, and catering services. Position is responsible for safe effective receiving, storage and handling of foods and supplies in compliance with Hazards Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles. Position is responsible for menu development. Position is responsible for the safe use of equipment and physical plant operation. Responsible for quality customer service. Position requires accurate cash handling and fiscal reporting. Supervisor is responsible for the retention, development and daily direction of staff.

    • Education: 2 year degree or Certified Dietary Manager certification or Chef's degree.
    • Licensure: Serv Safe
    • Experience: Two year’s experience in an acute care setting required.
    • Certifications: Certified Dietary Manager’s Certificate and certificate of completion of the Serve Safe Applied Foodservice Sanitation Course required.
    • Other: The physical demands described here are the representative of the minimums that must be met by an employee to perform all essential functions of the job. Most physical demands are below, plus: Minimal: kneeling or crouching, carrying of < 20 lbs, Push/pull < 12 lbs force, grip, pinch, data entry Occasional: balancing Continuous: hand coordination
