Facilitate the patient/guests’ experiences at Mercy by providing personal, professional and compassionate service. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Answer telephone(s) which may include after hour telephone calls.
Coordinate office visit(s), testing, procedures and/or surgery. Confirm pre-authorizations and/or notifications as dictated by contracts with employers and TPAs has been obtained.
Set-up travel arrangements, as necessary, for patients and their family members.
Escort for patients through their visit(s) at Mercy. Facilitate Physicians Care Plan Conferences for each patient.
Facilitate and/or answer patient questions and/or concerns about treatment plan and program .
Communicate with stakeholders including patients, physicians, clinics, and Medical Destinations team members. Track and report statistics and information as requested.
Monitor deadline and turnaround times and communicate issues, barriers, and needs to ensure that Mercy maintains their contractual obligations (i.e. time between referral received and appointment scheduled).
Wears proper personal protective equipment when appropriate. Observes universal precautions consistently. Wears clothing and Health System badge consistent with dress code, and attends to personal hygiene to maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance.

Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:
Education: High school diploma.
Licensure: Valid Driver's License
Experience: Previous experience in a Medical Office.
Other: Critical thinking and problem solving skills. Professional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to type 50 wpm. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred Certifications: BLS preferred
