    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    -Compare and analyze Mercy's performance against service standards and best practices. Suggest areas of possible improvement. Design and implement strategies that will address tactical and strategic goals.

    -Plan, design and conducts studies which may consists of analyzing and evaluating organizational and/or departmental operations and processes including structure, hospital facilities, space and layout, equipment utilization, work flow and staffing.

    -Design and develop mechanisms for acquiring operational data from the Communities, assuring the accuracy and comparability of submitted data and effectively presenting comparative data to executive management and department staff.

    -Work directly with our Communities to understand business, technical, and reporting requirements. Assist and advise internal Community departments in the development, implementation or modification of methods, procedures and/or processes. Conduct internal training sessions as necessary to facilitate understanding of changes and new/revised job requirements.

    -Guide and mentor a team of Resource Optimization Specialists, ensuring that all team and individual performance expectations are met in manner consistent with Mercy values.


    -Develop and implement performance measurement tools and data collection methods which insure consistency for reporting on performance improvement across Mercy.

    -Understands the components of running a fiscally successful project. Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules. Communicates needed changes to development team. Communicates and applies project standards. Manages resources in accordance with project schedule.

    -Proactively continues to strengthen subject matter expertise through on the job experience, participation in conferences and symposiums and other forums for professional knowledge sharing.

    -Consistently delivers high-quality services to our customers.

    Qualifications:

     

    Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

     

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.

    Experience:
    1. Minimum 5 years experience in health care operations
    2.   Minimum 3 years of consulting experience
    3.   Proficiency with data analytic tools such as Business Objects, or MS Access

    Other skills & knowledge:
    (skills, knowledge, abilities)
    1.   Good analytic, conceptual and root cause analysis skills.
    2.   Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.
    3.   Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
    4.   Ability to work collaboratively with diverse

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience: No less than five years of previous experience in a management role in nursing or hospital operations.
