    • Career Ladder Program – Eligible after one year of service. This program recognizes RNs for their role in providing clinical excellence and dedication to patients/family/community (up to $5,000 per year).

    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    • We require a nursing degree from an accredited school.
    • RN License in the State of Missouri or must obtain within 90 days of your graduation date.
    • Must have a current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association.
    • New Graduates: You must graduate with your nursing degree prior to the Fellowship start date to be considered for this opportunity.

    Critical Care Fellowship Details

    The Critical Care Fellowship is an twelve- to fifteen-week orientation and training experience. During this time, you will progress from a novice to a fully-trained nurse under the direct supervision of an experienced practitioner.

    When your fellowship has been completed, you will be comfortable caring for patients in either the Critical Care and/or Heart Hospital areas.

    This Position Offers:

    • Providing direct care to patients while under the guidance of a preceptor. Our trained preceptors are Critical Care nursing experts. We believe hands-on learning experiences are the most beneficial for our new nurses.
    • Clinical competency monitored through weekly visits and meetings with leadership.
    • Blended learning with unit specific education. Combination of classroom training and clinical training.
    • Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) 3.0 is a critical care course created, tested, validated and regularly updated by content experts to reflect current nursing knowledge and practice. This course is useful to any staff or bedside nurse working with acute or critically ill patients.  
    • Two day basic EKG classes totaling 16 hours with a test following the class.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support- Two day class given as part of your training.

    You will be required to complete an Online Assessment which consists of 100 questions. You are only able to take the online assessment once so please give yourself plenty of time.
