The Director of Lean Transformation is responsible for providing leadership and direction in executing strategies for breakthrough levels of improvement in process capability and quality while utilizing Lean Transformation and Six Sigma initiatives. This position will serve as a change agent by stimulating, educating, communicating, and implementing a Lean Culture at Mercy. In addition to being a hands on Lean resource, this position will also be responsible for training and monitoring Mercy co-workers in the use of Lean and Six Sigma methodology, and will have measurable impact on patient satisfaction, productivity, improvement, and financial metrics. Assures that all activities are provided in accordance with internal policies; state and federal regulatory requirements; and accrediting agency guidelines. Supports continuous quality improvement processes. Promotes the Mercy values in all aspects of the organization.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: Seven or more years management experience in progressive change management role.
Lean Six Sigma deployment leadership experience/background is a must with current six sigma black belt training or must attain within 1 year of employment in this role.
Education: MBA or other related graduate degree.
Certification/Registration: Six Sigma Master Black Belt/Black Belt Certification and/or Lean Sensei (must attain within 1 year employment)
