    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, Support Services, does general cleaning and housekeeping duties in assigned area and in accordance with schedules; maintains a high level of cleanliness at all times according to established procedures. Will perform all work with accord to the mission, vision, and values of Mercy Hospital Kingfisher.

    • Check in promptly at beginning of scheduled shift in proper uniform. Prepare cart and equipment and go to assigned area.
    • Performs start of shift cleaning activities on assigned area.
    • Performs start of shift cleaning activities on assigned area.
    • Clean patient rooms, offices and common areas.
    • Clean corridors, stairwells and lobby per established daily procedure.
    • Monthly detail cleaning
    • Follow basic, established safety and infection control procedures.
    • Participate in in-service training and staff meetings. Comply with organizational policies and procedures.

    Experience:  Must have good communication skills both oral and written, in order to gain new knowledge about ones tasks and demands.


    Preferred Education: High school diploma or equivalent

    Preferred Experience: Housekeeping experience and skills preferred, but not required.
