Demonstrates competency in Pre-Operative Evaluation and Preparation.
Supports life functions in the peri-operative course.
Demonstrates competency in skills necessary to conduct anesthesia.
Properly uses all anesthesia equipment according to protocol for each anesthetic assigned.
Prepares supplies and check anesthesia equipment according to protocol for each anesthetic assigned.
Assist all other members of the Department of Anesthesia, when available.
Provide resuscitative care, when available, throughout hospital.
Attends monthly anesthesia and surgery committee meetings.
Maintains patient confidentiality.
Advises Chief Anesthetist regarding major decisions.
Confirms that surgeon documents that "The plan for CRNA anesthesia was reviewed and approved prior to the administration of anesthesia".
Commits to professional growth and development.
Communicates with other departments and physicians in a courteous and professional manner.
Remains current with changes in policies and procedures and compies with policies and procedures.
Observes universal precautions consistently.
Wears clothing and Health System badge consistent with dress code, and attends to personal hygiene to maintain a clean, well groomed appearance.
Meets Health System attendance standards.
Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelors Degree; Masters Degree preferred.
Licensure: Missouri Registered Nurse License
Experience: 5 years preferred.
Certifications: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Certification or Graduate Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Missouri Advanced Practice Certificate
Other: Skills include spinal, epidural, central line access, ability for independent work.
