    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Responsible for providing direct supervision in the absence of the Shift Supervisor. Also responsible for all the normal duties of a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Performs related duties as assigned.



    Each career at Mercy represents unique members of our caring ministry’s “body”, working together for the health and strength of the whole. To achieve our goals, we need all the parts functioning at their best and this requires the specific qualifications that you’ll bring with you:


    • Education: RRT.
    • Licensure: Meets State licensure requirements.
    • Experience: One year experience at Mercy as staff therapist, or three years respiratory critical care experience at any other facility.
    • Certifications: Pass the advanced registry (RRT) level examination administered by the NBRC.
      Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
    • Preferred Education: Bachelor's of Science in Respiratory Care or equivalent.
    • Preferred Experience: Prefer supervisory experience.
