    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Overview:


    Under the supervision of the X-Ray Supervisor, Manager/Director of Imaging Services and Radiologist, performs diagnostic radiology procedures. Responsible for performing radiographic imaging procedures including assisting Radiologists and/or Physicians in fluoroscopy guided procedures, and operating room C-Arm procedures while obtaining optimal image quality. Responsible for taking multiple overnight and/or weekend call days on a rotating basis every month and taking shifts at off-site hospital based departments per departmental needs.  Provides personalized care, recognizing the worth and dignity of each patient.  Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from neonate to geriatric.  Performs all duties and responsibilities consistent with Mercy’s mission, vision and values.

     

    Qualifications:

    Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

     

    • Education: High school graduate and successful graduation from a nationally accredited School of Radiologic Technology
    • Licensure:  Current Arkansas State Department of Health Radiologic Technology License
    • Certification/Registration: Current BLS certification.  ARRT certification. New grads will have 6 montys from start date to receive ARRT and State license.
    • Other: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge. Working conditions, mental and physical requirements:  This individual must be capable of:  manipulating X-Ray equipment including mobile and other equipment; carrying cassettes; selecting and manipulating exposure factors, evaluating radiographs; lifting, moving and transporting patients’ continual standing and walking; recognizing emergency situations; adapting to fast pace daily work load; communicating effectively.
