Performs tasks associated with refrigeration and HVAC systems such as ice machines, air handlers, HVAC controls, air conditioners, refrigerators and freezers. Plans and organizes daily activities. Reports to Maintenance technician Lead.
Performs maintenance by checking operation of air handler on a daily basis to assure proper operation.
Check items for proper operation, including belts, motors, bearings, temperature settings, controls, filters,etc. Make adjustments or repairs as needed. Reports parts needed to manager.
Performs maintenance by checking operation of refrigeration systems on a regularly scheduled basis.
Check items, including refrigerators and freezers, large commercial units, etc. Items checked for mechanical failure include; fans, compressors, pressure controls, cleanliness of units, etc. Make repairs as needed.
Performs maintenance by checking operation of Ice-Machines on a regularly scheduled basis.
Check for mechanical failure, including; stats, actuator levers, gear box leakage,etc. Check refrigeration cycles, including; system leaks, pressure controls,etc. Make repairs as needed. Notifies Manager of parts needed to order.
Air conditioner maintenance is performed by checking operation of DX systems on a regularly scheduled basis. Check for mechanical failure, including; compressors, fans, refrigeration cycle, etc.
Appropriately documents and communicates by notifying the necessary coworkers of all equipment changes. Document completed work orders, and parts needed to the Manager. Keep accurate records of all refrigerators used, and stored in accordance with EPA requirements.
Appropriately manages computer controlled systems by operating computerized building management systems to maximize systems efficiency. Running the computer program through its sequence of operation checking program for correctness. Change computer program, line deletion or correction to assure program will run properly. Dump and reload programs as needed. Maintains proper copies of program for back-up.
Preventive maintenance is performed by completing various preventive maintenance work orders on equipment. Complete tasks listed on PM's in the time allotted, partial list includes; refrigerators, AC Units, Walk-ins, and ice machines. Document all problems found, and making repairs as needed to minimize
equipment down time.
Provides support during construction by checking blue prints for design problems in the HVAC portion of new
construction. Check for air distribution problems, and making regular checks of area under construction. Inspect equipment installs to insure proper installation Meet with construction engineers to explain special problems and needs with our systems. During construction documenting problems found and providing them to the Manager.
Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma.
Experience: Two to three years. Two years experience in refrigeration and equipment repairs.
Other: Analytical ability necessary to repair and correct malfunctions or defects, and plan layout in refrigeration work. Ability to Interpret data and make the correct decisions regarding operational problems using equipment manuals, test equipment, air flow diagrams,etc. Must have knowledge of current refrigeration regulations.
