    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    To become familiar with and increase knowledge of standardized psychological tests and batteries which evaluate neuropsychological functions. To administer and score neuropsychological and psychological tests and batteries, which are used to evaluate cognitive, neuropsychological, behavioral, emotional status and/or academic functioning, in order to assist the neuropsychologist in their assessment of the patient and in order to assist medical professionals in treatment decisions and other aspects of the patient’s care. In general, the Neuropsychology Assistant I is to provide technical support to the Clinical Neuropsychologists in a medical setting.

    • Education: Undergraduate degree in psychology (or related field) and some beginning graduate coursework in psychology (at the Masters level) are required. Coursework and training should be concentrated in psychological assessment.
    • Other: Patient empathy is needed as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to establish good rapport with patients, public and staff. Responsibilities include assisting neuropsychologists with procedures, maintaining supplies and inventory.
    • Preferred Experience: At least one year experience preferred.
