Performs compounding of IV products and/or solid unit doses in batch quantities for distribution to pharmacies throughout the Sisters of Mercy Health System. Coordinates the receipt and processing (retrieve, count and measure) of unit dose pharmaceutical packaging and bar-coding across the Sisters of Mercy Health System. Follows policies and procedures as directed to assure all federal and state regulations are strictly adhered to.
Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:
Education: High school diploma
Licensure: Registered pharmacy technician with the State Board of Pharmacy
Experience: Previous experience with pharmacy automation technology
Other: 1. Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy regulations
2. Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
3. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
4. Computer proficiency with office software (Word and Excel)
Preferred Other: 1. Five years experience in Pharmacy
2. Experience in acute care pharmacy practice
3. Experience with the operations of pharmaceutical
